Neglected blog: A poem

in On Blogging

Poor neglected blog
sits alone
in the corner
hoping no one will notice how
the words have trailed off
the edges of the pages
leaving thoughts unfinished.

I think it’s ashamed to be a blog
right now
when its author reads
a lauded blog
being held up as
the pinnacle of everything
that is good about blogging,
and counts eight typos
in the first two paragraphs.

Poor blog,
hiding its head
in the sand
hoping no one will notice
what it is,
and even more;
what it isn’t.

Poor blog in the corner,
filled with half finished drafts
hiding in boxes
carefully tucked away
in the drafty attic
of the Internet.

I guess it’s time has just yet to come… 😉

Waiting waiting. I’m impatient. Heh.

>the words have trailed off
the edges of the pages
leaving thoughts unfinished.

I love those three lines. Excellent. 🙂

Well you know I have vanished off the blogosphere!

Love the poem. Just thought I’d let you know I may no longer write but I do read. xx
